Here is the site plan. The lot is on a dead end road just two miles west of Flemington, just off Rt 12. The main lot is 7 acres with an additional 1 acre lot to the north side. The house is about 300 feet from the road, which with the impervious coverage restriction of 0.25 acres is as far into the lot we could go. There is about 140 feet front footage on Georges Place, with the depth about 800 feet. A 25 foot ridge runs diagonally across the lot which protects the house from the cold winter winds. It was mostly tree covered, but was timbered off 25 to 30 years ago so the trees aren’t exceptionally mature. We cleared about an acre and cleaned up a bunch of Sandy downed trees. I’m thinking of moving the solar panels far up near the top of the ridge to reduce the number of trees that will have to clear to get 100% of sun to the PV arrays.
There will be a 48′ x 24′ pole barn garage, a 16′ x 12′ garden shed, and a large raised bed vegetable garden .
